How MongoDB Atlas Live Migration Works

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

MongoDB Atlas can perform a live migration of a source cluster to MongoDB Atlas, keeping the MongoDB Atlas cluster in sync until you're ready to perform a cutover.

In this talk, you will learn how this live migration works under the hood. The service uses the mongomirror tool to perform an initial sync, build indexes, and tail the oplog of a source cluster to keep the clusters in sync.
